Last year Seth Eslinger set a new course record for this race finishing in 16:03 and breaking the old course record by over two minutes.  Trina Worden won the women’s competition finishing in 23 minutes flat. Haley Juno-Galdes (20:35) holds the women’s course records for this event that begins and ends at Middle Creek High School in Apex.

The 5K starts at 10 am, and the mile begins at 11 am.  The mile is run on the school track.

The fee for the 5K is $30.  There is a special entry fee of $20 for Wake Country students and Wake Country Public School staff.  The fee for the mile is $10.

The fee includes a shirt guaranteed to all those registered by April 15.

Late entrants can register and pre-registered runners can pick up their packets on race day beginning at 9 am. 

In the 5K the top male and female finishers will each receive a trophy plus a $75 gift certificate.  The second-place male and female finishers will each receive a $25 gift certiifcate and medal.  Medals will also be given to the top finisher in each of the following age divisions: (both sexes) 11-under, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60-over.
