This is a new race for Eastern North Carolina put on by friends of Colin Wilson, calling themselves, The Colin Crusadrers. Colin is a 23-year-old Dunn resident who needs a double lung transplant. For more information on Colin, click here.
The mile will begin at 8:00 am followed by the start of the 5K at 8:30 am.
The start/finish area is Tyler Park located at 201 North General lee Avenue in Dunn.
Participants will not be allowed to run or walk with their dogs.
The entry fees are $25 for the 5K increasing to $30 after September 10 up to and including race day. The fees for the mile are $15 and $20 respectively. One can also purchase a shirt for $20.
In the 5K, the first male overall and the first female overall will each receive $100. Medals will be given to the top finishers in each of the following age groups: (both sexes) 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80-over
The first male and female finishers in the mile will also receive an award
