This first annual event is being put on by the good folks at Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.  The event, which is a trail run, will be held at the Lake Benson Park located at 921 Buffalo Road in Garner.

Registrants in the 5K can register either as a competitive or recreational entry. Competitive entrants will be issued a chip, will receive an official time, and be eligible for awards. Recreational entrants will not receive an official time, but they will be able to see their finishing times on a digital clock at the finish line.  The entry fees are the same regardless of whether one wishes to be timed or not.

The entry fees are $10 for adults ages 18 and older and just $5 for youths ages 17 or younger.  T-shirts can be ordered for an additional $10. 

Awards wil be given to the first ten males and he first ten females to finish.

All proceeds to benefit the United Negro College Fund.
