This is the 2nd Annual Good Dude 5K put on at the WakeMed Soccer Park by Dude Solutions on August 21, 2016.
Last year there were over 100 entrants with Chadley Barnes leading the way in 20:18. Lauren Bullard was the female champion.
The entry fees are $30 up to and including July 31, $35 up to and including August 20, and $40 on race day. For children ages 12 and under, the fees are all $10 less.
The entry fees include a t-shirt, guaranteed to all those registered by August 5. After that date it will be "as available."
Awards will be given to the top three male finishers and to the top three female finishers in two different age divisions: 30 and under, 31-over.
Benefits from the race will go to the Special Operation Warrior Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that ensures full financial assistance for a post-secondary degree from an accredited two or four-year college, university, technical, or trade school; and offers family and educational counseling, including in-home tutoring, to the surviving children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel who lose their lives in the line of duty.
Race begins at 8:00 AM. Event will be held rain or shine.
