On September 27th, Headbands of Hope is hosting the first ever Sweat Hope 5k and Festival for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month at Wake Med Soccer Park at 201 Soccer Park Dr, Cary, NC 27511.
 
Each female race registration will receive a headband and donate a headband to a girl at UNC and Duke Hospitals. Each male registration will receive a hat and donate a buff for a boy at the hospital.
 
T-shirts can also be purchased for an additional $10 if ordered NLT September 1. Extra shirts will be available on race day for $15 at registration (limited supply, first come first serve). 

The last day for remote runner registrations was September 1st. Remote runners who registered should receive their race packets by September 25th. 

 
Awards will be given to the first ten male finishers as well as the first ten women finishers.

The 5k starts at 9 am sharp.  Awards will be given at 10:30. 

At 10 a.m. we will have a kids potato sack race benefitting the St. Baldrick's Foundation! Register for a minimum donation of $3 per racer here on the St. Baldrick's site. 

Race proceeds will bring headbands and buffs to kids fighting cancer at UNC and Duke Children’s Hospital. 

Packet pickup will be hosted by Capital Run Walk (430 Woodburn Rd, Raleigh, NC 27605) on Friday 9/26 from 5-8 pm. You can also pick up your race packet the morning of, but we ask you get there no later than 8:30.
