th, 2015 will be remembered in history as one of the darkest days in the history of Nepal as a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake with over 100 tremors shook the country . More than 8000 lives were lost and thousands more were injured. Aftershocks continue to rattle the already shaken peple many of whom have lost their loved ones and homes in this horrific tragedy. This race, the first of its kind in North Carolina, is created to provide funds to help rebuild Nepal and specifically residences and Primary Schools.
The event is run on a USATF-certified course and is hosted by the
Nepal Center of North Carolina. The race starts and finishes at the Cedar Fork Community Center located at 1050 B Town Hall Drive in Morrisville.

Registrants can register either as a competitive or recreational entry. Competitive entrants will be issued a chip, will receive an official time, and be eligible for awards. Recreational entrants will not receive an official time, but they will be able to see their finishing times on a digital clock at the finish line
The entry fees for the competitive 5K are $30 up to and including April 20, $35 from April 21-29, and $40 on race day. The fees for the recreational 5K entry are $25, $30, and $35, respectively. T-shirts are included with the entry fee, guaranteed to all those registered by the 20
th. After that date, it will be “as available.”
Awards will be presented to the top three men overall, to the top three women overall, and to the top three finishers in each of the following age groups (both sexes): 12 –under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

OR on race day at the race site beginning at 7 am. Omega Sports is located at 3025 Market Center Drive in Morrisville.
Race will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. Please try to arrive by 7:30 a.m to find parking.
