This event held at WakeMed Soccer Park attracted over 180 entrants in its first year.  Thirteen-year-old William Belote led all finishers in 20:20. Kelly Post, 16, led the women in 23:50.

On-site registration and packet pickup begin at 7:30 and, the race starts at 9 am.

The entry fees for those who wish to receive an official time are $25, if received by October 30^th, and $30 thereafter, up to and including race day.  For the recreational runner/walker, the fees are $20 and $25, respectively.  There also is a special family entry fee of $80 for four or more members participating in the recreational division.  T-shirts are guaranteed to all those entered by October 30^th.

Awards will be presented to the top three males overall, to the top three females overall, and to the top finishers in each of the following age groups (both sexes): 12-under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-over.
