Held in May of 2012, this event has moved to the fall. Once again, the race will be run on the trails at Bond Park located at 150 Metropark Drive. Last year, 216 runners registered for the 5K Run. Ian Metcalf led the field in 19:03. Sarah Bostvedt led the women with a 23:52 clocking.

The entry fees are $20 for the 5K Run and $10 for the 1-Mile Walk.

On race day, the fee for the 5K will be $25. The fee includes a shirt to the first 300 entrants.

The 5K starts at 9 am while the 1-Mile Walk begins at 9:05 am.

In the 5K, awards will be presented to the first male overall, to the first female overall, and to the first three finishers in each of the following age groups (both sexes): 12-under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-over. Proceeds from the event will benefit the National MPS Society in their fight to find cures for MPS and related diseases.
