Overview

This race debuted on Easter Weekend in 2012, and after a three-year hiatus, it has returned.  The original race was just a 5K, but this year, the longer distance has been added.  This year the race is hosted by Java Jive  and Small Hands Big Hearts United as the deignated charity.  This year is expectd to be the biggest turnout thus far with a fantastic Family Fun Zone and Post Race Party with School of Rock playing for a fun family atmosphere for all.

The race will start at 8:00am and finish at Java Jive located at the Lochmere Pavilion – 2425 Kildaire Farm Road for your GPS.

The entry fee for the 5K is $25 on or before July 18th and $30 after that date up to and including race day.  For the 10K, the fees $30 and $35, respectively. The entry fee includes a t-shirt – guaranteed to all those registered by July 18th.  After that date, it will be “as available.”  Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $15 if done prior to the 18th.

Race packets can be picked up and late entrants can register at Inside-Out Sports in Cary between 4-7 pm on Friday, July 31st or on race day at the start/finish line beginning at 6:30 am.

In both races, awards will be given to the top three men overall, to the top three women overall, and to the top three finishers (both sexes) in the following age groups: 12-under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and over.  Awards have been all donated by one of the race sponsors Inside-Out Sports in Cary.
