For the 2016 race, the medals are back!! All 5k and 1-mile Fun Run participants will receive a medal this year.
The name of this race a bit misleading since it is run on one of the flattest course in the Triangle with nary a hill in sight. The race starts and finishes at the Cedar Fork Community Center located at 1050 B Town Hall Drive in Morrisville.
This will be the sixth edition of this event which was held in September the first five years. Last year, the event had a field of over 220 registered entrants. Shan Guo led the field in 18:02 while Emma Schmidt took the women’s title in 23:36. Kevin Hill set the men’s course record of 16:51 in 2011. Jordan Jenkins holds the women’s course mark of 17:53 set in 2012.
