The Getzelmania 5K is a yearly fund-raising fun run, sponsored by The Bridge Community Church of Morrisville, NC for the family of Stephen Getzelmann. Stephen died suddenly from a Strep-B infection in December of 2011.
This is the Church’s way of giving back and supporting his family. Proceeds from this event will go towards the Comfort Zone Camp (www.comfortzonecamp.org), a bereavement camp for children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary care giver.
The race, which was held in May of last year, had 180 participants.
The 5K will begin at 9:00 am, while the 1-mile run/walk will start at 10:15. The 5K course has been certified and is an out and back with two water stations provided along the way.
The entry fee for the 5k is $25 ($30 after October 17th). The fee for the mile is $10. The entry fee includes a t-shirt - guaranteed for all those who register by Oct 13th.
