This first-year event is being put on by the good folks at Green Level High School to benefit the Green Level High School Athletic Department. The race will start and finish at the school located at 7600 Roberts Road in Cary. There will be no traffic problems as the entire course is on the school's campus.

The 5K will be the first race of the morning beginning at 9 am. A 400-meter kids run (one lap around the track) will start at 10 am.
Entrants in the 5K can register as either a competitive entrant or a recreational entrant. Here is the difference.
While not necessarily fast, the competitive runner just wants an official finish time and to be eligible for awards. The recreational entrant does not care about getting an official time or being eligible for awards. However, all finishers will be able to see their finish times on a digital clock at the finish.
The entry fees in the 5K are the same for the competitive or recreational entrants in the 5K - $25 up to and including race day. The fee includes a t-shirt – guaranteed to all those entered by September 15. After that date, it will be “as available.”
The entry fees for the kid's run are $5 (with no t-shirt) or $10 (with a shirt, if registered by 9/15).
Additionally, to encourage early registration, all those registered by August 7
th will be entered into a special drawing which will be conducted at the school on Gator Night. Gator Night is the school's annual kick-off event. One does not need to be present to win.
All finishers in the Kid's Run will receive a prize. In the 5K prizes will be awarded in two age divisions (both sexes) - 29 and under and 30 and over.
Entrants are asked to park in the faculty lot between the stadium and the school. The student lot will be closes as it is part of the race course.
