This is a new race for the Triangle-area which will be run entirely on the campus of the Elevation Baptist Church in Knightdale.  The address for your GPS is 5271 EBC Village Way,

Proceeds from the race will be given to local organizations offering support to breast cancer patients and dedicated to finding a cure and also to local organizations fighting domestic violence.

Lab Solutions will be providing a free evaluation of one’s family cancer history at the event to see if you are a candidate for a genetic test that can help prevent cancer in you and your family members. The screening is FREE and you don't have to be church member to participate.

Entrants in the 5K have a choice of entering as a competitive or recreational entrant.  Here is the difference.  The competitive entrant will be receive an official time and be eligible for awards.  The recreational entrant will not receive and official time nor be eligible for awards but will be able to see his finish time on a digital clock at the finish.

Awards will be given to the top three males and to the top three females to finish in the 5K.

The registration fee is $20 which includes a t-shirt to all those registered by September 15.  After that date, it will be “as available.”

Pre-registered entrants can pick up their packets on race day at the church beginning at 7:30 am.  The mile starts at 8:30 am, and the 5K begins at 9 am.
