About the Hero Run
This race launched in 2016, when the Blackmon family of Clayton decided to give back following the successful, life-saving liver transplant for their infant daughter Sofie. Because of the incredible generosity of a donor family, Sofie is a happy, healthy little girl today.
Currently, more than 3,000 North Carolinians are still waiting for a life-saving transplant, many of them children under 18. Help us make life possible!
Funds raised from this event will support outreach education efforts to our heroes in North Carolina’s military communities. For more information about Donate Life NC, visit our website HERE.
