This 5K run in downtown Selma had 33 finishers last year. Erin Smith was not only the first female finisher, but she was also the first finisher overall. The 27-year-old finished in 19:22. Martin Tetrsault finished second overall and as first male in 19:30.
The course is flat and fast - the same one used for the Selma Railroad Run.

Race day packet pick-up begins at 7:30 am, the 5K starts at 9 am, and the mile begins at 10 am.
For the 5K, the entry fees are $25, if registered by October 6, and $30 thereafter up to and including race day. A t-shirt is included with the entry fee with sizes guaranteed if registered by October 1.
There is no fee to participate in the mile.
Awards in the 5K will be given to the top three males overall, to the top three females overall, and to the top two finishers in each of the following age groups (male and female): 12-under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60-over.
In the mile, medals will be awarded to all finishers.
