One of the larger area races, this event regularly draws over 2,000 runners and walkers. Most of the participants are from Girls on the Run.
The event takes place in the parking lot of the Koka Booth Amphitheather in Cary - 8003 Regency Parkway. The course is all on paved roads and greenways.
Last year this race was cancelled due to COVIC, but in 2019 Cooper Eben (17:17) and Tina Morrison (20:17) were the overall winners.
Registration and packet pickup begin at 8:30 on race day with the race beginning at 10 am.
Entrants can choose between participating as a competitive entrant or a recreational entrant. He is the difference. The competitive entrant will receive an official time, will be eligible for the post-race awards, and will be listed in the official results. The recreational entrants will not receive an official time nor will they be eligible for the post-race awards. However, all finishers will be able to see their finishing times on a clock at the finish line.
The entry fee for the competitive entrant is $35, up to and including 11/21, and $40 thereafter up to and including race day. The entry fee for the recreational entrant is $30, up to and including 11/21, and $35 thereafter up to and including race day.
Awards will be given to the top three males overall, to the top three females overall, and to the top there finishers in each of the following age groups (both sexes): 12-under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60-over.
