In 2013 over 800 runners signed up for this event. Derek Fenton (1:18:54) and Tina Kornachuk (1:28:18) were tops in the half-marathon, Joe Moore (1:10:56) holds the men’s course mark set in 2010. Modliszewski (1:22:09) also set the women’s course mark in 2010.

In the 10K, Wayne Crews led all finishers in 38:31. Rita Beard led the women in 43:06. Bobby Mack (32:16) and Brennan Liming (38:23) hold the course marks for the 10k – both set in 2012

The NCRC Invitational Half-Marathon is a partner in the "Spring Triple Crown" which includes the Tobacco Road Half-Marathon and the Race 13.1 Midtown Raleigh.  Participants completing all three races will also receive a commemorative medal that will be presented at the Midtown Half-Marathon.

The NC Roadrunners Club Classic Half-Marathon is also the 10th race in the eleven-race Second Empire Spring 2014 Grand Prix Series. Runners who participate in these races accumulate points and are awarded,
