Now in its sixth year, this event consists of a 5K held to raise funds or the Malawi Children’s Initiative. The event is held in Southern Village in Chapel Hill – 300 Market Street for your GPS. The race begins at 9:30 am.

Soren Cornwell led all finishers last year after completing the course in 19:31. Mary Montgomery won the women’s competition with s 20:17 effort.

Awards will be given to the top three males overall, to the top three females overall and to the top finisher in each of the following age groups (both male and female): 12-under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-over.
