This first-time event is honoring the 175th Anniversary of St. Paul AME Church in Raleigh. Funds from the event will continue the rich legacy of this historic church in serving the Raleigh/Wake County Community. Click here for more information on St Paul AME Church legacy.
The event, which consists of a 5K and Kid’s Dash, will be held at Lake Benson Park located at 921 Buffaloe Road in Garner. The Kid’s Dash, for children ages 10 and younger, is the first event of the day, beginning at 8 am. The featured 5K will start at 8:15 am.
The entry fees are $30, up to and including October 27th, and $35 on race day. For youths age 17 and younger, the fee is $15 with no late fee.
The fee for the Kid’s Dash is $10.
One can also enter as a Virtual Entry and complete a 5K at any time and on any courde prior to race day and enter their time on this website.
T-shirts are guaranteed to all those entered by October 13. After that shirts will be given out “as available.”
Awards will be given to the top three male finishers and to the top three female finshers as well as finisher medals gIven to all participants.
Former United States Olympic Track and Field Coach George Williams will be the Guest of Honor to cheer runners/walkers on!
Post race activities will include Hallelujah Halo inspired Costume Contest, refreshments and a DJ.
