Overview

This race was last run in 2019 and then, like most other area events, was suspended during the pandemic.

But now, Hayes Barton Baptist Church, which organizes the run, has revived the event.  This year, the race will once again begin and finish at the Church, located at 1800 Glenwood Avenue, but will be run on a new course.

In 2019, there were 204 finishers led by Charlie McGoogan in 17:50.  Leigh Dunaway won the women’s title in 20:23.

Participants can either enter as a competitive or recreational entry. Those who register as "competitive" will receive an official finish time, will be listed in the results and be eligible for awards.  Those who enter as "recreational" will not be listed in the results nor be eligible for awards.  However, all finishers will be able to see their finish times on a digital clock at the finish line.

The entry fee is $30, up to and including, March 27th.  After that date, the entry fee will be $35, increasing to $40 on race day.  All those who enter by March 27th are guaranteed a t-shirt in their size.  After the 27th, shirts will be given out "as available."

Gift certificates from Fleet Feet will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers ages 17 and under in the amounts of $30, $20, $10 for first-, second-, and third-place, respectively.

The top three male and female finishers 18 and older will also receive gift certificates from Fleet Feet.  Those amounts will be $50 for first-place, $35 for second place and $20 for third.

Pre-registered entrants can pick up their race packets and late entrants can register at the Church on Friday, April 26, from 8-11 am or from 5-7 pm.

Pre-registered entrants can also pick up their race packets and late entrants can also register at the Church on race day beginning at 6:30 am.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE RACE will go to benefit local schools - Partnership and Underwood Elementary Schools
