This first-time event is being held at Corinth-Holder High School in Wendell and directed by Matthew Loeffler, the high school’s cross-country coach.

Proceeds from the event will be used to support the school’s cross-country teams and their summer camps.

The event, which begins at 8:30, is being held at the school – 6875 Applewhite Road in Wendell for your GPS.

Entry fees for those ages 18 and over are $30 if registered by August 7, $35 if registering between Augus.t 8 and August 25, and $35 on race day. Ages 18 and younger pay $5 less.

T-shirts are included with the entry fee, guaranteed to all registered by August 7th. After the 7th, shirts are not guaranteed but will distributed "as available." The good news is that of Monday, the 19th, all sizes are still available.

Fleet Feet in Morrisville is providing awards for the race which will be given to the top three male finishers, to the top three female finishers and to the finishers in the following age groups – 13-under, 14-18, 19-29, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over.

There will also be a special “Pass the Pirate” Challenge. One girl and one boy, members of the school’s cross-country team, will be in the race. All male runners who beat the male pirate and all females that beat the male pirate will receive special awards

Pelican SnoBalls of Wendell will be selling ice treats after the race.

Additionally, the Corinth Holders Fire Department will be out there spraying their hoses for the runners to run through.
