For those who enjoy cross-country, this race put on by Lee Christian School in Sanford, offers just such a traffic-free course.  The school is located at 3220 Kellers-Andrews Road, and the race begins at 9 am.

Last year, forty-four runners finished the 5K course led by Gavin Jonas (20:48).  Amy Taylor competed the course in 24:40 to win the women's title.

The entry fee is $25, increasing to $30 after September 3.  On race day morning, the fee is $35.  The fee includes a t-shirt with sizes guaranteed to all those entered by September 3.  After that, it will be "as available."

Awards will be presented to the first male finisher overall, to the first female finisher overall, and to the top finishers in each of the following age groups (both sexes):  14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50-over.  There also will be awards to the top male alumni finisher and to the top female alumni finisher.
