The 5K is held on a straight out-and-back course starting and finishing at the Cape Fear Christian Academy.  The school is located at 138 Erwin Chapel Road in Erwin.

The event actually consists of three different races.  The featured 5K starts at 10 am, the 1-mile Color Race, begins at 11:30 am, and the 100-yard Dash starts at 12:15 pm..

The entry fees are as follows: $25 for the 5K, $20 for the 1-Mile Color Run and $5 for the 100-yard Dash until April 30.  Beginning May 1st, the fees for the 5K and mile will be $30 and $25, respectively.

The entry fee for the 5K and Mile includes a t-shirt, with sizes guaranteed to all entered by April 17^th.

There also are entry fees for those who wish to run multiple races.  For $40, one can participate in all three events, and for $35 one can enter the 5K and Mile.  Both fees will increase by $5 starting May 1.

In the 5K, awards will be given to the top finishers (both male and female) In the following age groups: 9-under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50-over.

In the mile  awards will be given  to the top finishers (both male and female) in the following age groups: 6-under, 7-9, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50-over.
