Overview

Join us in supporting Malawi Children's Initiative by participating in an individual or team Marathon or a 5K.  Encourage your friends and family to race with you or support you in raising money for this generous charity.  You can also create a team with friends, family or coworkers to race together and fundraise together. 

Now in its fourth year, this event consists of a marathon, a marathon relay and a 5K. The event is held in Southern Village in Chapel Hill – 400 Market Street for your GPS.

The marathon and marathon relay will consist of 18 laps run over a 1.45 marathon loop course.  Click here to download the marathon course map.

The 5K will consist of one loop through Southern Village.  Click here for the 5K course map.

The marathon and marathon relay begin at 8 am, while the 5K starts at 12 noon.

In the marathon, awards will go to the first three marathon teams to finish and to the first three marathoners to finish.  In the 5K awards, will be given to the first three males overall, the first three females overall and the first three finishers ages 12 and under.
