Event Overview

The NCRC Classic 10k is coming up this weekend, we hope you are as excited as we are!

What's New:

If you’ve run this race in the past, there are a couple of changes this year:
  • New course for 10k
  • Parking is at Red Storm Entertainment, across the street
  • Social distancing

Registration/Packet Pickup:

If you choose, you can pick up your race packet on Saturday, May 22th between 2pm and 6pm at:

We will begin race day registration and packet pickup at 5:30am on Sunday, May 23:
Hoganas Building
3000 Weston Parkway

  • Picking Up For Others: Bring a copy or photograph of their ID
  • Half Marathon: Everyone who originally registered for the half should have received a $25 credit to use on another NCRC race
  • Transfers: The new runner should come to packet pick up with a photo of your id. I will have them fill out a new registration form so we have their correct information for scoring. There is no cost to transfer
  • Bring a friend! Late registration is $35. We accept cash, check, credit card, Android, Samsung and ApplePay both Saturday and Sunday.

COVID 19 Information:

While the rules have been changing rapidly, we are trying to maintain social distancing and a safe environment for the event. First off: if you feel shortness of breath, muscle aches, chills, loss of smell or taste, please stay home.
  • Saturday Packet Pickup: Omega Sports allows fully vaccinated people to enter without face covering. 
  • Race Starting Line: We will place markers with approximate pace & finish time in the start corral. Try to stay spread out until it is time to start. One minute before start, we will signal everyone to move up to the starting line.
  • Face Covering: Leaving face covering to your judgement. We will have trash cans near the starting line for you to toss it as you’re starting. If you need a disposable mask to toss, we have them at registration.
  • Aid Stations: We are doing “grab and go” style aid stations with the usual half-filled cups.
  • Awards: Awards are Omega gift cards. If you win an age group or overall, you can retrieve your award from Omega Sports North Hills on Monday. Awards must be claimed within one month.

Baggage Check:

We will continue to offer baggage check if you are picking up your shirt and number on race day. We will have clear plastic bags and index cards available, write your race number and last name on an index card and put it in the bag so it is visible.

Aid Station 2: About 3.5 miles after the turnaround on Crabtree Greenway
Aid Station 3: About 5.5 miles at the exit of Black Creek Greenway

Race Start:

Start time is at 7am

Weather Policy:

The race will take place rain or shine. If we need to cancel the race in the event of inclement weather it will not be rescheduled.

Course Etiquette:

  • Much of the course is out-and-back so please stay to the right at all times especially when approaching the turnarounds
  • Run around the turnaround before approaching Aid Station 2
  • Please do not drop trash on the course! There are ample water stations with trash cans along the course.
  • The course is not closed during the race so you may encounter cyclists and other runners.

Race Reminders:

  • Your timing chip is attached to your bib. Please do not bend or remove the timing chip.
  • Please pin your bib to the front of your shirt visible to our race staff.

T-Shirts:

  • We have ordered extra shirts for late registrations and exchanges on a first-come first-served basis.
