Last year there were fifty entries in this race.  Tyler Perkinson took overall honors in 19:01. Jessica Early was the top female finisher in 27:04.  Parker Lee (17:16) holds the course record set in 2012. Melissa Coleman holds the women’s course mark of 19:12 set in 2018..

The event is being put on by the Band Boosters of Fuquay-Varina High to raise funds for the school band.  But in a change from previous years, the race will start and finish at the Willow Spring High School which is located at 1704 Honeycutt Road in Fuquay-Varina.  The Fuquay-Varnia High School has been demolished and is being rebuilt.

The entry fee is $25 if registered NLT February 15th. After that date, the fee is $30 up to and including race day. T-shirts are guaranteed to all those registered by February 20th. After that date it will be “as available.”  Additional shirts can be ordered for $12 each prior to the 20th.

Pre-registered entrants can pick up their race packets and late entrants can register at the High School on race day beginning at 7:45 am.

The first three males and the first three females to finish will receive awards. 

Other awards will be given to the Best Dressed Male and Female, best participant exhibiting school spirit, the best couple, the most musical runner, and the fastest three-person Band Parent Relay.
