In 2018 over 250 runners and walkers registered for the 5K. They were led by Phillip Molloy, who finished in 19:09. Brittany Sandora led the women across the finish line in 20:20 – a new women’s course record. Caleb Silver has the men’s course record of 17:29 which he ran in 2015..
The 5K Run and the 5K Health Walk both begin at 9 am, and the 1/10-mile Tot Trot starts at 9:45 am.
There will be a new course for 2019! For the first time ever, the Road Race will start AND finish on Second Street in front of The Clayton Center.
The entry fee for the 5K Run and the 5K Health Walk is $25, if postmarked NLT April 21. After that date, the fee is $35, increasing to $40 on race day. The Tot Trot fee is $5. T-shirts are guaranteed to all those entered in the 5K by April 21..
In the 5K Race, trophies will be awarded to the top three male runners, to the top three female runners and to the top three finishers in each of the following age groups (both sexes): 11-under,12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-over. In the Health Walk the first three finishers will receive awards. In the Tot Trot, all finishers will receive ribbons.
On race day morning, late entries can register and pre-reregistered entrants can pick up their packets beginning at 7:45 timing chip and T-shirt from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. at The Clayton Center, 111 East Second Street in Downtown Clayton. Parking is available in lots at The Clayton Center and Town Square, as well as Clayton High School and anywhere you can find a spot along our downtown roads.
