Aaron Hale led all finishers last year with a 18:14 clocking, while Jenny Dipaolo led the women with a 19:44 performance.  Omar Wiggan holds the course record of 16:58.  Kyle Feldman holds the women’s mark of 18:44.  Both records were set in 2017.

The race will benefit the Presbyterian Homes Foundation, Inc., whose mission is to provide senior adults with caring and high quality services in support of their physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual well-being.  As a non-profit, Presbyterian-affiliated organization, Glenaire has never asked any residents to leave our community simply because they have outlived their resources.  In its 25 years, Glenaire has provided well over $3.5 million in financial assistance. In 2019, we expect to provide over $450,000 in scholarship funds.  One hundred percent of race proceeds will support this cause.

All 5K participants will have the option to be timed, but recreational runners and walkers are welcome.  Although all finishers will be able to see their time at the finish, only competive entrants will be eligible for awards, have their finish times published in the official results and receive Grand Prix points..

The 5K entry fee is $30 increasing to $35 on race day.

The 1-Mile Fun Run fee is $20 with no late fee.  Children under the age of 12 are free, but this does not include a t-shirt unless you choose to purchase one for $10.

All participants are invited to join us after the race to enjoy music by DJ Gino, massages from Massage @ Hand, hot Pappa Murphy Pizza and cold Jordan Lake Brewing beer.  IDs required!!!

Register before March 27th to be guaranteed a 2019 Heather Cardinal Red G5k t-shirt. Don't forget to order a size up if you want a looser fit.  After March 27th t-shirts will be “as available”.

You can also purchase a black Headsweat running hat or visor with the cool G5K logo for an additional $20.

Massage at Hand will provide post race mini massages again this year.  Look for additional massage discounts in your swag and prize bags.

In addition to great swag we also have great prizes.

Awards for the 5K will be presented to the first three men overall, to the first three women overall and to the top three finishers in each of the following age divisions (both genders): 12-under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-over. .
