In March, 2018 over 110 runners and walkers registered for this event. Taylor Allen won the race in 22:08, while Lyn Maples took the women’s title in 26:23.  Bobby Mack (15:53) holds the course record set in 2011.  Sally Hart set the women’s course record of 22:26 in 2013.

This event will be run entirely within the campus of Wake Christian Academy in South Raleigh. The school is located just off 401 South at 5500 Wake Academy Drive.

The entry fee for the 1-mile Fun Run is $15.  For the 5K, the fee is $25, if registered on or before March 3rd, and $30 thereafter, up to and including race day.  Shirts are an additional $7 and must be ordered NLT March 6th.

The event will begin at 8:30 am with the start of the 5K.  The mile will begin at 9:15 am.

 In the 5K, awards will be given to the top three males overall, to the top three females overall, and to the top three finishers in each of the following age groups - (both sexes) 9-under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-35, 36-50 and 51-over.

Late entries can register and pre-registered entrants can pick up their race packets on Friday, March 15^th  from  3:00-5:00 pm at the WCA Auditorium or on race day, beginning at 7:30 am.
