After a two-year hiatus, this event , formerly held in November, was held in February.  The result was a record field of 62 entries. 

Jason Broll took overall honors in 19:01. Melissa Coleman was the top female finisher in 19:12, setting a new course record for women.  Parker Lee (17:16) hold the course record set in 2012.

The event is being put on by the Band Boosters of Fuquay-Varina High to raise funds for the school band. The race will start and finish at the High School which is located at 201 Bengal Boulevard in Fuquay-Varina.  Click here to download a course map.

The entry fee is $25 if registered NLT February 15th. After that date, the fee is $30 up to and including race day. T-shirts are guaranteed to all those registered by February 15. After that date it will be “as available.”  Additional shirts can also be ordered before 2/15 for $12.

Pre-registered entrants can pick up their race packets and late entrants can register at the High School on race day beginning at 7:45 am.

The first three males and the first three females to finish will receive awards. 

Other awards will be given to the Best Dressed Male and Female, best participant exhibiting school spirit, the best couple, the most instrumental runner, and the fastest three-person Band Parent Relay.  For details on these awards, contact the race director, Mike Wallace at mwallace016@nc.rr.com or be calling him at (919)747-1399...
