In 2017 over 2,000 runners finished this 5K with Robert Rappole winning in 18:44.  Tara Wojciechowski won the women’s competition in 20:22. This is was the first time this course had been run, both times are the course records.

Those course records are sure to fall this year as the Society is offering cash prizes of $250 each to the top male finisher and to the top female finisher.

The Triangle Run/Walk for Autism is also the 12th event in the sixteen-race Second Empire 2018 Grand Prix Series. Runners who participate in these races accumulate points and are awarded money and prizes at an awards banquet held at the Second Empire Restaurant at the conclusion of the Series.
