Did you know that every year 900,000 people die in India from drinking unclean water? By joining us at our Carry the Water 5K, you will be contributing to funding clean water projects, ensuring that more Indians have access to clean drinking water. All proceeds from the race go toward clean water projects, and, by bringing a water container of your choice, you can help even more. Run or walk halfway, fill up your container, and carry it back to the finish line. Once there, empty your container into a barrell for corporate sponsorship to help us raise even more funding!
In its debut last year, the Carry the Water 5K drew over 100 runners and walkers. Theodore Combos finished first with a record time of 18:09, quickly followed by the fastest woman finisher, Ashley Best, with a time of 26:58.
The event will be held at Dorothea Dix Park (750 Picot Drive) in Raleigh and will start at 10:00 AM.
