Overview

Originally scheduled for September 16, this event had to be postponed when Bond Park closed fr Hurricane Florence.

When last held in 2015, this event had 47 finishers.  Fifty-seven-year-old Richard Ferguson led them all over the finish line in 19:46.  Molly Corrigan won the women's title in 22:57.  Since that was the first year the race had been held, both marks are event records.

Once again the race will be held at Bond Park located at 801 High House Road in Cary.  The race will benefit AIM for Seva, an organization that is dedicated to bringing  value-based education and health care to the least privileged  sections of society in India.

Both a 5K and mile will be held. The 5K starts at 10 am, and the mile begins at 10:15 am.

No official times will be taken in the mile, while the entrants in the 5K have a choice of entering as a competitive or recreational runner. Competitive entrants will receive an official time and be eligible for awards. Recreational entrants will not receive official times, but can either time themselves or see their times on the digital clock at the finish line.

On-line registration is available using a credit card.  One can also register on-line paying with cash or check without paying the additional fee.

In the timed 5K, awards will be given to the first male overall, to the first female overall, and to the first two finishers in each of the following age groups (both sexes): 10-under, 11-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-44 , and 45-over.
