Overview

Originally scheduled for June 6, this event has been moved to November because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Wake Forest has been celebrating National Trails Day for the past five years. Now we are including a 5K race to the festivities! Race proceeds will support the maintenance of current greenways and development of new greenways in the Town of Wake Forest.

In its debut last year, 180 runners and walkers completed this 5K event hosted by the Wake Forest Parks and Recreation. Sean Riegel led the field with a 19:14 effort.  Erin Hill was the top female with a time of 25:26.

The event is held at E. Carroll Joyner Park (701 Harris Road in Wake Forest for your GPS) beginning at 8 am.  The one-mile fun run starts at 9 am.
