The Epsom Community Classic Race was one of the few races held last year. The route is a 3.5-mile loop with the start and finish line at the Epsom Fire Department. The Fire Department is located at 8120 NC Highway 39 in Henderson.
The event was created by New Bethel Baptist Church to raise money for missionaries in the US and overseas. Last year, they more than doubled their fundraising goal! Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, or donated.
The event debuted in 2020, despite the year's challenges. Benjamin Kassel of Davidson completed the course in 19:42, finishing first place overall. Allison Dease of Oxford completed the course in 26:52, making her the top female!
Entrants can enter as competitive or recreational runners. Competitive entrants will receive an official time and will be eligible for awards. Recreational entrants will not receive official times but may time themselves or see their times on the digital clock at the finish line.
